ABOUT ME

Hi. I’m Ashley de Jong, “Ash” once we meet. I’m a mom, step-mom, wife, Mimi (grandmother), dog mom, daughter, sister and friend.  I learned a great deal when my father died at the age of 74. 

Other than life itself, what's my expertise?  I earned my Master of Social Work from the University of Texas at Austin.  Social Work is all about systems: how we function internally, with others and within complex policy and societal structures.  

I am a graduate of the Going with Grace End of Life Training Program and awaiting my exam to become a Certified Senior Advisor.  My career includes a Fellow at the Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services, Executive Director of Patient Privacy Rights, and a Paralegal in firms specializing in nursing home regulation, estate planning and probate.

Perhaps more importantly I am kind, compassionate and action oriented. We often need a push, accountability and support to do the hard things.  

But Before You Go brings me full circle, connecting all of those dots.  As for me personally, I hope to say with confidence at the end that I loved and was loved, deeply. That will be enough.
